V-D601 has a highly variable form. The latest iteration is believed to be a long snake with a rotating procession of blades along its body, creating a jagged spiral. It has no fewer than ten arms with four fingered, bony hands, and a face resembling that of a decomposed corpse.

Previous forms include:

• an amorphous masses of flesh with three mouths having jagged teeth and the ability to move itself like a slug, leaving a trail of blood and mucus,

• a humanoid figure with a mouth stitched shut and eyelids sewn open, carrying a massive jagged covered in dried blood

• a cursed sword that grants the wielder immense power, but slowly drives the person mad before assuming complete control of them

Combat and Abilities:

V-D601 is classified as a Demiform precisely because it’s abilities are so vaguely known. Partly for this reason, it is one of an extremely small number of sentient Vorpals that have never been killed, or at least confirmed as such.

V-D601 can change it’s form entirely, just like any Vorpal, but it’s abilities and combat changes along with it. It seems to have a tendency to adopt attributes that maximizes terror within its target. Its latest form was confirmed as being able to make itself perfect silent, despite moving at alarming speeds.

Another common thread is its targeting. Once it targets someone, that person will immediately know the latest chosen name of V-D601 in their mind, with no discernible reason for learning it. V-D601 will not allow escape at this point, and no target has ever been known to evade it after this point for longer than a day. This is another reason why the casualty rate of V-D601 is abnormally high. It is possible to survive an encounter, but still extremely difficult.

Other abilities have been seen, such as rapid regeneration, even outside the Inverse, as well as tactical action speculated as approaching the accuracy of actual precognition.

Conclusion:

Under no circumstances should V-D601 be researched. It is far too dangerous and unpredictable. If encountered, stay calm and keep your wits about you. There is nothing more anyone can do to help you, and only with unbridled courage and determination can you hope to survive.
