Tying the Knot
Make it strong, make it square
and so each other’s burdens bear
A threefold cord, a sturdy knot
no effort should be spared
Bind it tight, make it sure
the lifeline’s always there
If it frays, needs repair
splice lovingly, with care
Be careful how you tend it
Be vigilant to mend it
Do not let it slip
Once two cords now but one
pull together ’till work’s done.

Wishing every newly married couple many years of growing together to create that unbreakable bond of love and service, made all the stronger with their Maker as the third cord at the core of their relationship.
We are mid-way through year 45 together and remembering the struggles overcome, the joys we have shared, and the future that we will face with the comfort of knowing we will meet the challenges arm-in-arm.
