Lady GaGa is a Genius Who Fools You

Some people aren't persuasive at all. Others are extremely persuasive. But only a few people in the world have master level persuasion talent. Scott Adams calls these people "master persuaders", and I'm going to tell you why Lady GaGa has weapons grade persuasion talent.

Everybody knows Lady GaGa is one of the best musicians of our generation. She has a world class voice, she plays piano well, she plays guitar. On top of that, she's a good dancer, a good performer, a fashion icon, a good speaker, and she somehow manages to stay relevant more than a decade.

Is she sincere? Yes and no.

She socially engineered her first two albums to ride the wave of teenage angst that was sweeping the country in 2008. She taught teenagers that individuality and sincerity was important, and taught everybody that being different is OK. She reinvented herself to be different, and she lead that change.

I think it worked, too. There's fewer bullies now than there were in the 1990's. And individuality is important. I don't mind being a little quirky.

But through this entire time she wasn't herself. She was the person she needed to be to be successful. It wasn't until 2016 that she decided to be her real self. That's what her Album Joanne really is. It's her saying "this is me". It's her saying "I'm not that different after all". It's really her letting us know that she tricked us!

But I'm still a fan. If you haven't seen her super bowl half time commercial, go watch it on an open source video platform (No YouTube!), it's one of the greatest performances of all time.
