Joystream Video Blockchain (Exploring the blockchain) #MindsGaming

As some of you may have noticed we have been exploring sites based on the blockchain and social tokens. We have already invited you to a few other sites that we think are really making progress in the blockchain arena. Today we talk about Joystream; “a video platform controlled,
owned, and operated by its users.” based on the blockchain.

Joystream is a channel based video service, where you can create multiple channels for different types of video content under one profile. Currently they are on the test-net, a way to test the platforms blockchain capabilities and looking for new members to help test the platform.

As an incentivize to new members they are giving testnet tokens to users that complete a bounties and have an upcoming referral program. They also have a DOA that is fully ready to participate with already on-chain.

They also have an upcoming update for account creation to get started on uploading videos, and they have many project ideas for integration like NFTs and social tokens.

Currently the platform is a ground-floor video uploading network with limited features and needed improvement/tools but they are looking for interested members to get started and help the process of whats desired and needed in the video blockchian space.

You can currently join the platform and start posting videos as well as join the matrix chat room if you’re interested in getting involved. I am interested to get views on the new UI when it comes (I hear May) and your thoughts on the platform in general.
