"The internet was gaining momentum at the time the Matrix came out in 1999 and working as a researcher I noticed how people in drones uploaded their pysche onto the internet trying to be 'anonymous' for other reasons than the lexicon of today.
Like the movie, I noticed the glitch myself and watched the system fail, I woke up and ran like hell. I found the movie deaden my own state of mind, that I wrote a few verses, back when..." #MariPia
System Failure
running like fear in my mind,
fighting for justice, fighting the system
gaining speed, standing the ground
denying impulses, controlling my mind
living the dream by closing the blind
open the door and release thy fears
fight for freedom, fight for humanity
fight for a numberless society
...
Watched by day
recorded at night
log in...log out
they're in the walls
leave if you have to
the truth is out there
...
Exact, precise, projected,
the sum, the net, the product
yet what is the gross?
Hello, what is your number?
...
Where did we all go? inside the walls?
behind the screen?
Ah! Anonimity is now the game
...
Release those shackles, release your mind
wake up civilization to the revolution of evolution
kill time? kill the T.V.!
the modern educator of our time
like a cancer thru these circuits, plaguing our mind
