The other day, @nemofin, one of Minds developers posted that the new Blog Editor, the one we have been waiting years for, was finally prioritized, and now released into Canary (testing).

  • First thing I notice is Images, while not sizable, conform completely to its original aspect ratio. It looks a lot better. In the past, embedded images did all sorts of wacky stuff.
  • Hovering in the corner allows me to put each paragraph block either in front of, or behind the Image.
  • We can change the caption of the image, and apply any of the offered text formatting to it.

This is a video embedded via a 3rd party link.

  1. It looks good
  2. I would like to see the option of using 1/2 the space between blocks; meaning I can't get this up under the 1st sentence.
  3. I could not insert a caption either.

I was told this version of the editor would support markdown language. However, I can't figure out how to make it work.

The CODE BLOCK works though:

cat proc/version

Its very clunky trying to move to a new paragraph from here. You need to make one ahead of time.

The Banner Hamburg Menu

You will find the usual visibility/liscense/NSFW options in the Banner Hamburg menu

Hash Tag Options
Meta Data Options

Okay, so the improvements I see are good, but I was unable to use any markdown. Line spacing and new paragraphs are weird, and it still feels clunky to me, though that might be because I'm not used to it yet.

I'm pretty happy with the way media is presented, it was really bad before.

I would like to see the ability to schedule the blogpost.

That's it for this quick glance. I'll try to figure out some of the things I did wrong; the markdown...etc, and take another look this weekend.
