CHAPTER THREE - BLACK LIGHT
She quickly put her hand inside
Reaching for the imprisoned ones hide
Grabbed its neck and pulled it free
Held it for all the Gods to see
Its hide was made from glowing light
That quickly lost its splendour and might
Hiding its form in a cloud of smoke
The crimson womans connection broke
Anger, rage and fury rose
A crackling cage thus did enclose
The woman and the cloud of ash
A net in which the god did thrash
The Lady of Thunder shook with mirth
Dragging her catch towards the earth
To claim her prize was simple indeed
But errors are made in unchecked greed
The god unleashed a mighty curse
Enveloping all of universe
Dispersing space, unhinging stars
Rending Creation full of scars
Thunder ceased and lightning flickered
Life around the woman withered
As the world around her fade
She knew that she had been betrayed
Oaths and words of Trickster-Gods
She recognized them now as frauds
Trapped inside this landless realm
The blackest light does overwhelm
It coats existence everywhere
On her skin and eyes and hair
The god was free, it stared at her
And named itself "the Renewer"
Then it touched the crimson witch
And with knowledge did enrich:
Creator-God she was to be
As Destroyer-God was he
Like a Djinn of the Trapezoid
Eternal life in blackest void
"Until," he said, "to be precise,
"Until you remake Paradise."
-LostHisMind, 2017 (this epic has four more chapters, that have already been named and to which I know how the storyline should go, but which I have not written yet. I'm waiting for the inspiration and for the rhymes to fall into place, which could take a long, long time...)
