1. Battlefield Earth
This Sci-Fi movie barely needs to go into space to be the numero uno movie on this list! And as far as religious propaganda movies go, this is why I’m a Scientologist! From John Travolta’s passionate performance of an alien trapped under a suffocating bureaucracy on Earth, to Barry Pepper’s smart caveman character that destroys an intergalactic empire, this movie is cinema in its purest form!!!
2. Wing Commander
Back when Freddie Prinze Jr. was slayin’ pussy and video games were making the girls so much wet, this film was released to great critical and commercial success! So many people saw this movie that Titanic's release date had to be pushed up so as to not compete with Wing Commander’s box-office dominance! With Matrix effects before the Matrix, this thing makes you want to find Mark Hamill and beg him to bring the cast back together for Wing Commander 2: Winger Commanderer.
3. Cloud Atlas
Tom Hanks and Halle Berry have kids on an alien world at the end… Oooops, I mean SPOILERS AHEAD! So there is that space scene at the end, making this a true space film. And it has chong-face Hugo Weaving, totally not disrespectful or racist! A time-bending thriller, you’ll never know when to care!
4. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The latest and most moving, thoughtful, well-acted, well-connected with its audience Star Wars movie was definitely in space! It had spaceships, space hair, space Leia, and even space Luke Skywalker!!! So much space, you’ll wonder how they packed it all into a 3 hour movie! Don’t forget to buy all the toys and replay the action over and over again!
5. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet God? If so, then you haven’t seen the best Star Wars, I mean Star Trek ever directed by William Shatner! It even has Ohura acting like a cat furry on a space planet! One boner to beam up, Scotty! And when we meet God, well let’s just say Captain Kirk has a few choice words for the motherfucker!
6. Rocketman
Harland Williams nearly won an Oscar for his performance as Matt Damon on his way to Mars! He eats all the food, fights with a monkey in space, and acts just like Matt Damon did in that dopey The Martian movie! Can you say space rip-off? Just be sure to keep the kleenex close by, because the monkey dying at the end is the saddest part!
