Received my Murfreesboro Community Gardening tank top in the mail today, and decided it was the perfect moment to go for a run. The air smelled fragrant, heavy with sweet scents like honeysuckle. I stopped a couple times for photos, and what a joy because I found a turtle friend. No idea why I wait so long between runs. 🌼🐢🌲
I used both Google Fit and my TicWatch Pro GPS to track my workout route and statistics. My run took place at the Stones River National Battlefield - a memorial from the Civil War era.
I found this little turtle. I couldn't tell if he was just hot from the sun or if something else was wrong, but I left him alone. I was 82 degrees Fahrenheit, or 27.8 degrees Celsius.
I did pretty well for my run today, but you will see above that I stopped a couple of times to take some photos. My heart rate averaged at 146 beats per minute, and my average pace was 11 minutes and 22 seconds per mile. I really only wanted a light jog today due to some sciatica pain. The endorphins help.
I ran down this wooded road within the park, which allows cars to drive through to view the park. It enables bikes to have a safe lane to cycle.
My TicWatch keeps me motivated by telling me to hurry up. Admittedly, I tried to warm up with a brisk walk. My heart rate needed to be raised for quality aerobic activity, though.
I don't exactly know how this photo came to be, but I like how it turned out. The camera spins with a focus in the upper left corner of the photograph, and it just looked super cool.
This photo was earlier in the run, but it gave the impression of being in action. Pardon the artifact of pixilation around my left arm, but it's also neat because it looks like you're viewing this from a VR headset.
The rustic war-era fence styled against the grass grains growing high in the background looked striking. I snapped a photo to share with you.
This little walking path went to the main road outside the park, so I just went down and looped back to get some distance in my run.
It was noticeably cooler under the trees, but I thought the difference in lighting might be worth photographing. Wanted the sun at my back for a picture.
According to my Mobvoi TicWatch and its accompanying Google software, I was able to compile my overall exercise statistics with relative accuracy. Today I covered nearly 4.5 miles, and I maintained a decent pace. Feeling so much more relaxed, I know this feeling will last a few days. Do you have any outdoor or active stories to share?
