Hey everybody. It's Japhy here. Sending all good readers my regards from the "Land of the Morning Jackhammer" : South Korea :)
Man, how the time flies! Been here since the summer of 2002. Actually, as fate would have it, i flew in on Air Canada, exactly 13 years ago today : JULY 1st. How's THAT for trippy? Anyways, it's good to be here. Have been surfing around a little & managing to slowly get a better idea of how to navigate :)
Heard of MINDS a few weeks ago & signed up almost immediately. Would have been here sooner, but i burned up a good chunk of time working on helping develop another network project i was already heavily engaged with: INFORMED PLANET.org In the end, things did not go well however; frankly i received all manner of rough shod & duplicitous treatment at the hands of TPTB right from the get go. As it is, the venture ended up quickly revealling itself to be more of a tightly controlled "CULT of personality" than anything else.
Dissenters were routinely dealt with most harshly.
What finally did it for me was how just a few days ago, FACEBOOK FLUXX ( HQ ) sent out a list illustrating an overwhelming & shocking example of systemic censorship on the part of the network which, on the surface at least, claims to be the web's "alternative" "non" censorship social networking site !!!!!!! It became evident to me that if they were not being honest in sticking to this key stated principle, what ELSE might be little more than an empty promise? Think e.g. DATA-SHARING
Still, if any of you don't already have an account with INFORMED PLANET , it only takes a minute or two to put one together, and i encourage you to go, if only on a super secret STEALTH mission! hahahahahahaha ...
