As a kid we were all thought not to judge a book by it's cover. They say judging others on their looks is mean and wrong.
But that isn't entirely true. Sure you can't control your genetics,

He can't help it.

but you can control diet, exercise, clothing and personal grooming. Not completely, I understand that budget and other practical problems might get in the way. I understand that a hero might literally get burned by their own heroism and be left with horrendous scars.

So what am I saying? I'm saying that being thin despite an overabundance of yummy food is proof of willpower. I'm saying that getting ripped is proof of discipline. I'm saying that making the effort to wear a suit or high heels shows a willingness to make yourself uncomfortable just so others have a nicer view. I'm saying that a woman skillfully painting her face is an artist. And I'm saying we as a society are wrong factually and morally to dismiss beauty as a genetic accident. While we certainly appreciate beauty we fail to acknowledge the work that went into it and the undeniable underlying virtues. Yes the good looking can still be bad people. The sum total of who they are may be negative but beauty still says proves certain virtues are present.

This is why Disney has ugly villains and pretty princesses. This is why real art (as opposed to modern "art") is a pleasure to behold. Because beauty and goodness are related.

As end this little rant. Please enjoy this tribute to the Goddess of beauty and love ... I give you mighty Aphrodite
