Minds is a social media. Therefore, I use Minds to interact with other people!
I use the "up vote" to let posters know that I like their post and I've taken the time to look at it. And that I haven't seen the post before.
Since the newsfeed is in reverse chronological order (latest post first), this probably means that the post I'm up voting may not (is probably not) the first time it is posted.
I bypass the post if it is a remind of a post from a channel I subscribe to.
If the post is a remind of a post from a group, I'll up vote it if I like the post and it's the first time I've seen it.
If I really like the post, I'll remind it so my subscribers can see it. But there's no guarantee they'll see the remind. It depends on the time when I remind the post.
I may comment on a post or in response to another comment. If I feel like it.
I rarely use the "down vote," if at all. If I don't like the post or comment, I simply ignore it.
What do I look for in my newsfeed?
It's probably easier to say what I ignore. As I've previously mentioned, I don't use Minds for news so I ignore posts with news from any source. Especially if they're from fake news.
I ignore posts from other social media: Facebook, Google, Twitter, and others. I don't use any of them.
I ignore most videos, especially from YouTube. I have music constantly playing and video forces me to pause it. I would rather listen to music.
I ignore posts about celebrities (of any kind). Unless they're being made fun of. Maybe.
Other Minds users complain about up/down vote and remind limits. I've never reached these limits. So I don't even concern myself with what these limits are.
