This is a review of the "Apple Watch User Guide" (watchOS 5) available free from the Apple Book Store.
I highly recommend downloading this book if you upgrade to watchOS5 and/or upgraded to Apple Watch Series 4. Note that the original Apple Watch cannot be upgraded to watchOS5. Use the previous version of this guide for watchOS 4.3, also available free.
Of course, if you are new to the Apple Watch, this guide is a necessity.
There is no need to read this guide from cover to cover, although I did. I'm very glad I did because I learned a lot. And there are a lot of new things in both watchOS 5 and the new Apple Watch Series 4. You can use the Table of Contents to go directly to the parts of the guide you want to read.
As always, I made extensive use of Bookmarks and Notes (by highlighting passages and optionally adding my own notes.)
The new Infograph (analog) watch face intrigued me. It is only available for the Apple Watch Series 4. And it displays a lot of information and highly customizable. It is also available in digital format.
The other new feature that interests me is the fall detection which contacts emergency services and your emergency contacts. It is only available with the Apple Watch Series 4. Fortunately, I haven't had to use this feature.
