“Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn’t the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit . . . unnatural?” – Bill Hicks

There’s a very noticeable rise in the awareness of cannabis’s proclaimed medical benefits this year already, from eliminating the symptoms of insomnia, significantly reducing the size of tumours or completely stunting the stuttering effects or cerebral palsy. It’s undeniable that marijuana has life changing benefits for many diseases and unbelievable that such a plant could be labelled as Schedule 1 (stating that it has absolutely no recognised medicinal value to humans) in the US. Although, you (if legalised) could essentially grow this medicine/plant for free in your back garden, so when these benefits are proven publicly, it will surely have a significant blow on the pharmaceutical industry…

Here’s some scary statistics:

- In the early 1900s, one in 20 people developed cancer
- In the 1940s, one in 16 people developed cancer
- In the 1970s, it was one in 10
- Today, it’s one in three

It’s predicted that by 2030, cancer cases will rise 75% and by 2020 cancer treatment costs will reach at minimum $158 billion per year in the United States. Do you agree that it might be time to increase the funding of research into alternative options that already seem to be looking more effective?

Here’s Dr. Christina Sanchez, a molecular biologist at Compultense University in Madrid explaining the research leading to the findings that convinced her; THC does indeed kill cancer cells:
