Tipping, Boosting, Membership, and Minds+
"I got my first token, now what?"
Tokens are internal currency of Minds. You get them for being active on the site: from checking in, and from getting upvotes (likes) & reminds. Every day at prescribed time you'll get a couple tokens - check your Wallet to see how many and when. The wait for new tokens can be quite exhilarating!
To get more tokens you also can get Tipped, can sell subscriptions (Memberships) to your channel, and you can purchase Tokens in regular way.
You want to gradually accumulate tokens in your Wallet. I recommend always keeping a couple tokens in reserve to be able to boost an important new post of yours. As an aside, the long term uses are: paying for Minds+ and Minds Pro subscription, and converting to Ethereum cryptocurrency. But let's get back to the daily use of Tokens.
By Boosting you use Tokens to promote (show) your content to other users, in hopes of getting more likes and reminds. This is a key way of growing your channel. Every token gives 1000 more views; you enter number of views you want - for example 5000 - and the site calculates number of tokens needed.

The other important use is Tipping and Membership - shows your appreciation to users with good content. Both one-time and recurring Tips are available. Membership is created by users - similar to other patronage websites. For a recurring payment (Tokens or $) you get benefits described by the user. If an user provides Memberships, they are listed in the box on the right side of the channel.

The third big use of tokens is Minds+. Minds+ is a monthly (or yearly) subscription to access to premium content - and also to Verification, including the "Verified" badge. You can purchase it with regular $, or with Tokens - a yearly subscription is 48 Tokens (4 Tokens/month). More on Minds+ in the official guide.
