For this tutorial I am adding liquidity to the Minds pool from the Minds/Uniswap interface but it will work anytime you are transacting with ETH using MetaMask.

This is the last screen that people see before they give up hope and abandon whatever ETH project they were trying to get into. The default gas fee during times of blockchain congestion are stupidly high. If you go through with paying this much, you must be equally high.
1. CLICK EDIT

Again with the suggested high fees... lol. I swear this is made solely to profit off of noobs. 
2. CLICK ADVANCED

3. LOWER THE FEE... SIGNIFICANTLY. (Ignore the little yellow warning. We are smarter than that. In the next step I will show you how to guarantee your fee isn't too low.) I lowered this number to 20 GWEI. This brought the fee down from $71 to $16. 

4. GO TO https://www.ethgasstation.info/index.php (again, ignore the recommended prices. Those are for noobs only) 

5. OPEN Tx CALCULATOR

6. CLICK "OTHER" AND SET THE NUMBER MUCH LOWER THAN SUGGESTED (I used 20). CLICK SUBMIT 
(if the "% of last 200 blocks accepting this gas price" is over 50, then your transaction will conform in about 30 minutes. Give or take a few minutes.)

7. HEAD BACK TO THE TRANSACTION SCREEN AND CLICK CONFIRM.

8. PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK BECAUSE YOU ARE NO LONGER A NOOB.
