As of 11:20PM on Sunday, March 29, citizens entering Manitoba will be interrogated at a newly established 'checkpoint' at the Ontario-Manitoba border, where you too may be handed THIS :
This is exceedingly alarming, and exactly the kind of rabid authoritarianism which has accompanied this particular viral epidemic since its inception some 2 weeks ago. We had no idea Manitoba was being run by crazy-people.
For years, we have been saying that it is likely that this present federal government would use any opportunity to advance their radical agenda, and COVID-19 has been no different. Since the inception of the virus, and the beginnings of its containment in the rest of the world, Trudles has done little if anything to address the situation in a practical manner, but has continued to use everything possible to advance the sunny ways ( some scary one world government shit ).
Wouldn't it be hilarious to speculate that Trudles was patient 0 on one of his many trips to China to find creative ways to piss away our money and give away our national assets? At this point it is irrelevant - the virus is loosing popularity in China as we speak, and it is possible that the rest of the world should be soon to follow in the spreading of passive immunity and the recovery of the first major wave of infected persons. We only hope someone tells Trudles about it before the country collapses, and hope that it is not some sinister plan.
Well functioning Chinese industry is essential for Canada, because we buy 1775% of what we can actually afford as a nation, on credit, from them, and without sources of cheap, crappy goods, there would be very little functional shit left in this country. Through a lens of doing as much damage as possible to a country's economy, these actions make sense. This is what the zombies voted for.
While private businesses back here in Ontario are being asked to close, and families are essentially being asked to go bankrupt waiting for Trudles to do something, the LCBO is still open, with hours which are now actually a bit longer on Sunday - and they're still accepting cash. The lines will help you be o.k. somehow, because some scientist was hired to say so.
Certain Ontario grocery stores are open, completely negating the idea of a nation-wide quarantine anyway, and we have to pretend, instead, at certain instances, that being treated like assholes and squinting real hard when we 'come into contact with each-other' is going to block the virus. We all use the same interact machine, but they're still pushing to go cashless. If you question these measures, you're an asshole - and might be asked to leave.
While responsible people are sitting in their houses and ordering from the same few uber-eats drivers, everyone else is stocking up on supplies, every day, almost like business as normal, but everyone's rude to each-other and we're not supposed to talk for some reason. Because of the virus. Before it was because of the ozone layer.
The alarming thing is that craziness in response to this virus is being encouraged, while rational conversation is being treated like heresy - just like every other hackneyed cultural engineering project this crappy regime has come up with... Its amazing what people will come up with when left to their own devices, including barricading themselves in rooms, attacking those around them for 'violating quarantine' while they go to get their long distance girlfriend from the airport, or using the event as an excuse to force your social values and stupid ideas onto other people for your own convenience. As long as 20% of the population does nothing, and some people work in 'essential services', the whole quarantine idea can never work and is essentially useless.
Remember when China was quarantining Wuhan internally, about 2 months ago, and yet still allowed travelers out internationally to all sorts of interesting places? That was the time when the Trudles regime should have run the test of the 'emergency economic shutdown system', and everybody would have gone for it. The wife testing positive was a nice bit, and while we are unable to verify if this is true or not, it seems to have helped sell the 'crisis' to the kinds of people who like to panic.
In this conspiracy theorist's opinion, they have waited a bit too long, and now some people are beginning to figure out that these hackneyed 'solutions' to this 'crisis' are actually attempts to do more of the silly things of which we have accused them before, but this time on an alarmingly larger scale. The worrying thing is, in Canada, many people are prepared to go along with whatever they are told it will take, or whatever crazy shit they can make up by themselves.
Make sure you have a lot of toilet paper ( but don't hoard, whatever that means ), because there's a shit-storm brewing... what is happening in Manitoba could very well be tried here in Ontario... it is unlikely that Ford would go for it, but isn't being blocked from going West essentially limiting our access to half the country?
We should pay close attention to this situation of the army moving about, Trudles asking the house of commons for executive authority, checkpoints, selective throttling of the internet and social media, and various Emergency Measures Acts at seemingly different levels of government, which are finally having enough of an impact on your average Canadian that, maybe, people are finally starting to read things and think about them. Thank goodness, its been a long enough time coming.
