A big part of Minds is centered around open conversations and that has drawn in a lot of people willing to discuss anything and everything in here. One of the ways you can interact with content shared by other users is of course the comments. But if you have a certain viewpoint you want to share with a larger audience then you might be inclined to remind the post and share your commentary there. However as it is now, once you do that you have started a new conversation that is completely disconnected from the one shared by OP. If OP wants to follow this new conversation he has to notice in his notifications who reminded the post, go to that channel, find the remind in the feed and manually press follow post. It's very easy for notifications to drown among all other notifications plus it's also a bit of a hassle to do so. In turn not many follow the new conversation. Not only that but people engaging in the comments might also benefit from the new conversations taking place, but they don't even have a way to know who is reminding the post.
A remind would automatically appear as a comment in OP's post with a little remind badge attached to it. Comments made on the remind would appear as nested comments to the "reminded comment". Also all comments made as replies on the "reminded comment" would show up as comments on the reminded post. This would make Minds feel more alive and encourage more conversations across the site. And OP's around the site would see all conversations about their contribution taking place in one place. Making creators more appreciative of what Minds can offer since comments would flood their posts like never before.
