Hell and the A-morality of Human Traditions

Catholicism and other non-biblical 'Christian' traditions have a strange and morally dubious understanding of death and 'hell' that leads any reasonable person to question God's very nature. But biblically there is no moral conundrum because it's actually very simple; those who reject Jesus literally reject the source of their life (John 1:3-4, 14:6). Logically rejecting life = death.

The wages/fruit of sin separates us from God, thus death (Romans 6:23). So it makes perfect sense that the lake of fire is the second death (Revelation 20:14) not eternal life being tortured.

People will be given a chance to know full truth, in this life or in the 'White Throne judgement' (Revelation 20:11+) where they will be judged. Again, to judge is not restricted to punishment, there also vindication, exoneration, restoration, rehabilitation ... mercy (Matthew 9:13).

What kind of being teaches otherwise? We were given free will and that means the only thing The Saviour can't save you from is your refusal to be saved.

"This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth," 1 Timothy 2:4

"...go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9:13
