This is a new form of dentistry that is now being taught in many dental schools. I had the great fortune to be a patient of the developing physician, Dr Alleman, of Salt Lake City. He has a small office and he has spent a great deal of time traveling and teaching at dental schools.
This approach has recognized that mercury fillings are dangerous and root canals potentially life threatening. Techniques have been developed to avoid root canals even in the most compromised teeth. Crowns are also a thing of the past.
Advanced diagnostics and materials are used to facilitate preserving what tooth is there. Restoration is key.
Ozone gas is used to purify the pulp of microbes as well as dentin so when the filling materials are applied little risk of developing infection remains. They have a remarkable device that can measure the presence of bacteria so they will know when the tissues are clear of infection. As the filling is layered in more ozone gas is applied to assure no traces of infection are constructed into the filling. The filling becomes durable and long lasting if no infection remains below it. This is often the downfall of other filling procedures and root canals.
These dentists are also trained in the safe removal of mercury.
I personally have had great success with the removal of very old and cracked mercury fillings. Cavity had grown under the fillings and in past circumstance a root canal would have been required. I have no root canals and the fillings are holding up well now, about 12 years later. Dr Alleman said that he expected the fillings/reconstruction to last me the rest of my life.
Ozone gas along with colloidal silver is also used by many of these dentists to treat infections around the tooth, eliminating the need for antibiotics. This is injected to the site after Novocain is applied. In general they use less Novocain than other dentists.
My personal recommendation is that if there is a tooth or gum infection is to also use C*D mouthwash. See our files for how to do that. … If the infection is very serious taking C*D orally may be required, such as in C*D protocol 1000 or 2000.
