US ARMY EMPLOYS NEW STRATEGY OF SENDING SOLDIERS TO WAR ONE AT A TIME

The Pentagon- A spokesperson for the Pentagon announced today that the US Army would be rolling out a new plan to deploy soldiers one at a time into combat. The strategy would send a lone US infantryman equipped with a rifle, a helmet and some MREs into critical hotzones. The soldier fights until he is wounded or captured, and then the next infantryman is sent out to finish where he left off. This process is continued until the mission is considered a success. This strategy is in stark contrast to centuries of warfare, which generally consisted of acquiring larger numbers than the enemy and using overwhelming force to defeat them.

“Modern warfare requires modern solutions,” said Lt. General Oscar Wheeler, “We have to explore every solution we have to advance America’s Army in the war on terror.”

Analysts are projecting that this change can save the US Army billions. It will cut down on expenses such as large military bases, vehicle maintenance, team building exercises, veteran healthcare, and many other expenses. Many are optimistic that this new strategy may cut the time we are spending in Afghanistan by 60-70 years.

Some experts have spoken out about changes, citing that if the enemy chooses to send two or three soldiers out a time our force would be quickly overwhelmed.

“We had the same concern initially,” Said Wheeler “But we have been running military simulations for decades to prove this plan will work. Simulations like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Doom have all proven that a single soldier can engage hundreds if not thousands of enemies on his own.”

The US Navy has also been looking into the idea of single force deployment. A dossier was recently leaked from the navy asking, how much damage can a guy from Florida with a fan boat actually do?
