STEP INTO A WORLD OF EXCITING JOURNEYS WITH CORLD
Every internet user is every day, bedazzled with a lot of choices to make like whether to participate in a trending event, create that new account, view that picture album or read that storyline. It is one decision made for every single moment spent tapping, scrolling, smiling at, reading, liking or ignoring that very post on the ever-expanding world of the internet. So what influences our decisions? What made my dear reader decide to read this post? What drives us to do what we do on the internet? The answers to those questions aren’t really far-fetched or complicated. We seek answers to questions, solutions to problems, and a way to become a part of larger than ourselves thereby, in the process, sharing ourselves with the world, it’s that simple! Even though we all have basic needs from the internet and its global community, we still have different tastes and needs that make us seek out unique platforms that seem to be tailor-made to suit those needs.
FINDING A GOLDMINE IN CORLD
Speaking about tailor-made platforms, I recently came across a gold mine of sorts on corld.com and cedium.io where I found about the Corld platform and the fuel to its engine room, the Cedium. I decided to share my thoughts about this project with my dear readers for the simple reasons that I believe it, being a cryptocurrency based social media, is going to revolutionize the way we see social media and widen our scope of its applications. These two fitting parts of the same coin were, I believe, designed to satisfy those basic wants we all yearn for from a social media platform and at the same time, expose us to wonderful experiences we never thought we wanted before but truly do. For these, I applaud the brilliant minds behind this project that thought them up.
QUICK DEFINITIONS
Having said all these, I’m going to answer some questions that I’m sure my readers are yearning to ask in order to better understand how this platform, corld.com, is the holy grail I say it is. But before that, let me quickly explain a few terms for better understanding going further.
CEDIUM- the cryptocurrency that is going to be used on the platform by all users (both individuals and companies alike) to explore certain packages and functionalities of the platform.
JOURNEY- a collection of visual posts (pictures and videos) with a central theme that users can group together to share with a set of people, keep private or share with the general public.
So, let’s get on with the question answering. Let’s start with this: what are the types of journeys there are?

With what I’ve learnt from the website platform, corld.com, and the cedium website, cedium.io, I have grouped the types of journeys into two broad categories, the private and public journeys:
1. Private journey- here, the user posts stuff from their everyday experiences and can decide to share this journey with others by inviting them to be contributors or can just keep them private to herself.
2. Public journeys consist of:
• Endorsed journey- this is one where the posts are endorsed by companies that have interest in that very sphere of life and these companies could provide incentives for users to post related content or participate in events taking place in these journeys.
• Premium journeys- these have contents the user places value on and as such others have to pay a certain amount of Cedium to view.
• Sponsored journeys- these are popularized after payment of a certain amount of Cedium to the platform in order for them to be seen first when other users explore journeys related to the theme the sponsored journey is found in.
• Donation journey- this is a lofty part of the project where individuals can create journeys to raise funds for special causes that directly help out those in need in the society. This is one of the best features of this platform because it takes social media away from being just tags and sighs to active participation.
USES OF CEDIUM
Next question: what are the uses of Cedium on the platform?
• A user can pay Cediums to view the full statistics about his/her followers, the category they fall into and their interests. This then allows this user to provide more contents in tune to what the followers want.
• Cediums can be used to boost posts so they are easily found in certain journeys (usually they are highlighted in yellow) that they are related to. This helps popularize such posts by bringing it to the attention of any user that explores the journey it is found in.
• As previously stated, certain journeys of high value need to be paid for using Cediums before access to them is granted.
• In donation journeys, the funds are gathered by users contributing Cediums.
• Companies pay using Cedium to advertise on the platform or even could decide to share Cediums to users that participate in any event they organize in a journey.
UNIQUE FEATURES OF CORLD
What are the unique features of corld.com?
• Income: You can get paid for viewing adverts, participating in events on sponsored journeys or just by voting on tags of shots!
• Wallet: your Cedium wallet is automatically generated and easily accessed on the platform. It is also very user-friendly and easy to use.
• Compartmentalization: this I think is the most unique feature of the corld world. Users can decide which of their posts are seen, who sees it, who contributes, and the user can easily group their various posts into the categories they fall into instead of having to mix them up as before. So now, other users can decide what they see of person’s posts without having to see the rest (for example, I can decide to check out only the vacation pictures of my friend Gabriel without having to see his family pictures).
CONCLUSION
On a final note, I think a corld world is a whole new galaxy of exciting social phenomena waiting to happen. I think the corld platform is going to bring a lot of colour and order to the social media sphere and I, personally, can’t wait to start using the app and sharing my funky pictures. Lol.
