This Fungus Can Instantly Induce An Earth-Shattering Orgasm

In 2001, a fungus was discovered that seemed to instantly cause a human female to orgasm.  In their paper, published in the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, John Halliday and Noah Soule explain that the fungus was found growing in recent lava flows in Hawaii.  The bright orange fungus seemed to bring women to an abrupt orgasm for reasons unknown.

The mushroom was found on lava flows 600-1000 years old and is of the Dictyophora species.

To test this strange claim, they gathered a group of volunteers, both male and female, and gave them a huge whiff of the mushroom while testing their arousal levels.  Their studies showed a significant arousal increase in the women, with about half of them experiencing spontaneous orgasms.  The men did not seem to be affected, noting that the mushroom smelled horribly.

After exploring the chemicals of the mushroom, they believed that the "hormone-like compounds present [...] may have some similarity to human neurotransmitters released during sexual encounters."
