Tying up AOC in her Web of Lies

AOC has been playing the victim this week. After Jack Posobiec pointed out that she wasn’t in the Capitol Building during her ‘Near Death’ experience, she went on the defensive, doubling down on her lies.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC

This is the latest manipulative take on the right.

They are manipulating the fact that most people don’t know the layout the Capitol complex.

We were all on the Capitol complex - the attack wasn’t just on the dome.

The bombs Trump supporters planted surrounded our offices too.

5:56 PM - 3 Feb 2021

Let’s look at this. Poso’s headline says AOC Wasn’t in the Capitol Building. Correct: she was NOT in the Capitol building.

AOC says she was on the Capitol Complex. Correct: she was, but that’s like saying you were on the other side of a campus during a college shooting.

Then she says that Trump supporters had planted bombs which surrounded the offices. #AOCLied again!

1) There were only two bombs: one outside the RNC HQ, and a package bomb in the DNC HQ (the DNC HQ is about 7 minutes walk from AOC’s office)

2) No one has been arrested yet for planting the bombs. Given that there was a bomb planted in each party HQ, to accuse Trump supporters of being responsible is exactly the kind of rhetoric she accuses her political opponents of.

And there’s more…

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC

People were trying to rush and infiltrate our office buildings - that’s why we had to get evacuated in the first place.

The attempts of attackers & publicly available communications show how they tried to gain access and share location info on finding members for physical harm.

5:58 PM - 3 Feb 2021

There were no attempts to rush or infiltrate AOC’s building, which was being guarded by a FBI SWAT team.

Timeline of AOC's movements

  • AOC says she first hid behind the bathroom door in her inner-office.  SOURCE
  • She said: “People were trying to rush and infiltrate our office buildings - that’s why we had to get evacuated in the first place.” SOURCE - not true, it seems.
  • Rep Nancy Mace tweeted on Feb 2nd: “My office is 2 doors down. Insurrectionists never stormed our hallway.” SOURCE (AOC #229 & NM #212)
  • At 1.22pm Canon House, the building AOC’s office is in, was first sent an evacuation notice: “The Cannon Building is executing internal relocation due to police activity” (no mention of infiltration)  SOURCE & SOURCE
  • At 1:39pm: “If you are in the Cannon Building, take visitors, escape hoods, and Go Kits and report to the South tunnel connecting to the Longworth. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.” SOURCE
  • At 1.44pm Nancy Mace tweeted: “Just evacuated my office in Cannon due to a nearby threat. Now we’re seeing protesters assaulting Capitol Police.” SOURCE
  • At 1:47 p.m: the department announced the evacuation of Cannon House was all clear. So let’s assume that the “hateful” officer reached AOC between 1.20pm-1.45pm.
  • Between 1.22pm-1.47pm: “Panicked with the chaos and the noise” AOC & Staffer G ran to Katie Porter’s office in the Longworth Building
  • AOC hints they used the South Tunnel. This would appear to be about a 5-7 minute walk. SOURCE
  • AOC and Staffer G did not move from Katie Porter’s Office in the Longworth Building after that. Estimated time of arrival before 2pm.
  • 2.11pm: The Capitol was breached SOURCE
  • Longworth House was being patrolled and protected by an FBI SWAT Team. SOURCE
  • 3.23pm: Congressman Jim Cooper was also barricaded in his office in Longworth House, giving interviews to the press. Reported “my staff and I are safe inside the office” ) SOURCE

Jim Cooper @repjimcooper

My staff and I are currently safe. This is a dark day for America.

8:15 PM - 6 Jan 2021

Katie Porter confirms this.

  • AOC was, at all times, at least 5 minutes walk away from riot activity, and had moved to safety in Porter’s office before the Capitol was breached.
  • AOC & Porter stayed in one place for six hours, barricaded in with a couch and the lights off, remaining silent.
  • “After orders to shelter-in-place, I stayed in a House office building with another Congressmember and two staffers. We barricaded ourselves in with a couch, turned off the lights, shut the curtains, and remained silent. Due to COVID precautions, we were the only ones in the office. After about six hours, we emerged from the office in search of Capitol Police, as none had confirmed our whereabouts and safety.” - Katie Porter, 7 Jan SOURCE
  • KP “AOC was opening up doors and I was like ‘Can I help you? Like what are you looking for?‘ And she said, ‘I’m looking for where I’m going to hide.’”
  • Porter said that she tried to comfort Ocasio-Cortez, saying, “I’ve got everything here we need to live for like, a month in this office.”
  • At one point, Cortez was panicking because she had high heels and couldn’t run, so Katie’s staffer found her sneakers SOURCE
  • AOC said she could hear the “hinges cracking” in the Longworth Building.
  • AOC says she had been fearing for her life for days before the 6th. SOURCE

Congressional Group Therapy Session

  • Following on from the hashtags of #AOCLied and #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett trending, Cortez called a special order hour on Thursday to “create space” for members of Congress to come together on the floor and “talk about their lived experience” of trauma during the Capitol Attack.

Scott Wong @scottwongDC

Lawmakers will share their personal stories of the Jan. 6 attack on the House floor tonight.

.@AOC will kick off the special order hour

1:48 PM - 4 Feb 2021

Tellingly, after being called out repeatedly that day, AOC chose not to share her own experience.

ZENXV's HOT TAKES:

  • It reads like AOC was having a full blown panic / paranoia attack whilst everyone else was calm. Fact is - she probably DID think she was going to die, not through any real threat, but mental health & anxiety.
  • Is it possible she’s annoyed that no one thought her special enough to come and find her?
  • How did they stay offline for so long?
