In this short piece I'll give you 5 strong reasons to use Brave instead of other browsers. My suggestions are based on a 14 days period of use, in which I had become more and more enthusiast about Brave browser and the philosophy that stands behind it.
Brave has been developed by Brave Software, whose CEO is Brendan Eich, the inventor of the notorious Javascript and co-founder of the Mozilla project.
I hate pop-up when I'm browsing the Internet. So, what the is the solution to adopt? Installing an adblocker. Well... Brave offers a built-in adblocker, so you do not have to worry boring and irritating pop-up at all. Anyway, you can choose to deactivate or to set-up differently the adblocker when you are browsing a trustworthy site.
They say:
if you're not paying for the product, you are the product.
This does not happen with Brave.
Normally we do not pay for services or platforms like Gmail or Facebook. That's true, but this does not mean that these services and platforms are free at all. Their core business is based on your data. Instead, Brave does not track your data or your online behavior. Your data remain where they should be: with you.
If you are here on Minds, that should be an appealing feature.
These are the values that convinced me to make Brave my default browser (and convinced me to convince my girlfriend to install it on her phone too :) ). Why solidarity and meritocracy? Well, for a couple of reasons:
1. If you want to watch advertising, you are rewarded in BAT (I'll write something about BAT very soon so stay tuned, for now just say that Basic Attention Token are a crypto-currency based on Ethereum Blockchain).
2. You can keep BAT for yourself or you can give them to high quality content creators (and Yes, you can be a Brave content creator too).
So you earn BAT by watching advertising if you want, and you can reward who put online interesting contents. No intermediary: just you, yourself and the guy that makes you smile, or makes you think, or teaches you something or entertains you. I like to call it direct shared value.
Other browser simply hide your navigation history in private mode. Brave brings the thing to the next level, with a TOR private tab that also hide your IP dynamically. Just don't do too much creepy stuff ok?
5. Windows, iOs, Linux, Android? No problem: you can have Brave on your device.
I leave you with the video behind from Brave Youtube Official Channel.
