The Fishkill Supply Depot Historic Site was entered into the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 1974. From the fall of 1776 through the winter of 1782-83, the Fishkill Supply Depot served as one of the largest, continuously operating military bases by American Forces during the Revolutionary War. Thousands of soldiers were stationed at the site which included a sprawling complex of buildings such as barracks and officers’ housing, workshops, storehouses, stables, a prison, several hospitals and a parade ground. Today, the only surviving building at the depot site is the Van Wyck Homestead, a Dutch-American timber-framed farmhouse that served as a headquarters for American officers. The Fishkill Supply Depot Historic Site project is a Veterans led initiative to preserve and protect one of the oldest and largest military cemeteries in America, and to establish a permanent military park on the grounds of one of the largest military bases during the American Revolution. Please help us honor our original patriots who served, died and are now buried in unmarked graves at this Nationally Registered Historic site by supporting and following our preservation efforts on social media. #FSDHS #FishkillSupplyDepotHistoricSite #FishkillSupplyDepotHistoricSite #FSDHS #PatriotsNotPancakes #IHOP #RevWAR #1776 #Patriots #military #Veterans #RememberHonorTeach #WAA #AmericanRevolution #freedom #america #freedomtrail #americanhistory #history #foundingfathers #patrioticduty #USA

If we look to the answer as to why for so many years we achieved so much, prospered as no other people on Earth, it was because here in this land we unleashed the energy and individual genius of man to a greater extent than has ever been done before. Freedom and the dignity of the individual have been more available and assured here than in any other place on Earth. The price for this freedom at times has been high, but we have never been unwilling to pay that price. -Ronald Reagan The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission. -John F. Kennedy “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” ― John Philpot Curran Bio: #trump #2a #military #MAGA #deplorable #NRA #AgeofApocalypse #AOA #Agent #Provocateurs #America #Archaeology #DeepWeb #Dungeons #Dragons #EROTICA #FUBAR #Fallen #Soldiers #guns #guns #girls #history #LasVegas #military #Network-open #veterans

Urban exploration (often shortened as urbex, UE, bexing, urbexing and sometimes known as roof-and-tunnel hacking) is the exploration of man-made structures, usually abandoned ruins or not usually seen components of the man-made environment. Photography and historical interest/documentation are heavily featured in the hobby and, although it may sometimes involve trespassing onto private property, this is not always the case. Urbex or urban exploration may also be referred to as draining (an alternate form of urbexing where drains are explored), urban spelunking, urban rock climbing, urban caving, or building hacking. The nature of this activity presents various risks, including both physical danger and, if done illegally and/or without permission, the possibility of arrest and punishment. Some activities associated with urban exploration violate local or regional laws and certain broadly interpreted anti-terrorism laws, or can be considered trespassing or invasion of privacy #URBEX
