Diamond and Silk are a hard hitting duo who attack social issues with the tenacity of a pit bull terrier and the energy and enthusiasm of a Baptist Revival Meeting. They do not pull their punches nor do they take any prisoners. They unapologetically tell the truth the way that they see it. This is totally fine with me as long as they are willing to own it as their opinion. We used to call this behavior open debate and “Freedom of Speech”.
Now you will probably be tempted to call me a “racist” when I say this, however I believe that if two white males discussed issues with the same intensity and expression of personal opinion using the same format they would be immediately censored and labeled “racist”. Such is the curse of “Political Correctness” and Social Marxism that has destroyed meaningful and productive discourse in this nation.
Shutting down opinions …even ones with which you do not agree has a chilling effect on personal freedom which usually leads to totalitarian mind set and eventually slavery.
I find Diamond and Silk’s brutally honest approach to an issue although at times a bit strident very productive at getting to the heart of the issue. When Diamond and Silk set their sights on an issue it’s like someone messed with a nest of hornets.
I believe their talents could be well applied to facilitating many of the Congressional inquiries that get bogged down with all that crap where they are referring to each other as the “Gentleman from” blah. blah ... or the “honorable”… blah, blah ,blah …when everyone present knows the individual being interrogated should probably be immediately thrown in prison.
I must admit although it gets a little shrill at times I enjoy their honest approach and their attempt to explain as simply and clearly as possible what should be obvious to anyone who is awake and paying attention to what is going on around them. If they can get others to listen, pay attention and to think for themselves they have provided a valuable public service.
I would give them my personal ....“Well done ladies”.
