How To Earn 3x More LBC On LBRY

Ever since I started taking advantage of supports on LBRY I’ve earned more than 3x the LBC I usually make in one month. I’ll show you how you can do the same thing and why you should.

We’ll go through the entire process of supporting your posts with LBC, revoking your claim, and the best strategy to utilize for this process in order to get your channel and posts to trend on the tags you post to. Simply by boosting my content and channel with supports, I was able to turn my average monthly earnings of 1450 LBC into over 5000 LBC earned in one month.

One thing to note is that when I recorded this, supports weren’t listed on LBRY, but now they are displayed beside the view counter. This means that you can see what the top supports are for any category by checking the top posts listed. I mentioned that it seemed to be around 50,000 LBC at the time I was recording this, but I think that now since people can see, it’s become much more competitive and I’m seeing anywhere from 80,000 – 100,000 LBC competing for the top trending spots.

You may also notice with the new update that reposts are listed, you can reply directly to comments, and you can see creator analytics. This was previously available on LBRY.TV, but not on the desktop application like it now is.

Anyways you’ll want to navigate to settings and under experimental settings, you want to turn on claim support which allows you to receive and execute supports. This will enable the option to “Support” content which you can see is listed to the right of the "Repost" on any post. This will boost that post within its tags competing against other boosts made by other users within 12-hour algorithm reset periods. This will display that post in the search more favorably.

You can also support your channel which is beside the follow button after you’ve enabled claim support in settings. This will list your channel in search instead of a single post.

As you can see, right now my channel is 5th on #blockchain and everyone above me has supported more LBC to their content than I have in order to get there.

Therefore, the most effective method for supporting is not to spread it out amongst all your content, but rather to save all your LBC and support it all into one post or your channel in order to utilize its maximum boost potential. If I were to use half on a post and half on my channel, then both might end up way further down and I will get worse results all around. While this may be possible if you have a lot of LBC, for most people your best bet is putting it all in one.

To make full use of your LBC, within a few hours of boosting your post, you can abandon your support and support your channel to have them both trending for a certain amount of time. This way you can still get the best of both worlds with better results. Always be sure to abandon your previous supports before making a new one to maximize your LBC boosting.

Go to your wallet by clicking on your LBC amount and then change your filter in the top right to support then find your last support.

Abandon it by hitting the garbage can icon beside the support and confirming the transaction. Now you’re ready to do the whole thing all over again and maybe earn 3x more LBC too. If you post regularly and do alright already, I guarantee you will see an improvement given you have a decent enough amount of LBC for supports.

That’s basically it. Do this every day, rinse and repeat. It’s better obviously if you have good content and the more LBC you buy to start off with, the easier it will be. I share this at my own detriment as you may take my spot on trending so do me a favor and give this a like, subscribe, and share it with others.

I also have a video that goes over all the different ways you can earn LBC you can check out here: https://lbry.tv/@ScottCBusiness:4/How-To-Earn-More-Lbc-On-Lbry-1:e

I will continue making guides and tutorials on LBRY so feel free to leave a question or an ask for me to cover something on LBRY or any other major blockchain platform I frequent. Did this help? Do you create and post on LBRY? Are you bullish on LBC? Let me know what you think about this in the comments below and don’t forget to subscribe!
