I haven’t really thought about this until last night when I talked to a close friend of mine. Now this is very long so if you want to read, grab some food.
People today are frantic, scared of Covid-19, too scared to go outside, too scared of non-vaccinated people and want you to take the vaccine because “it’s safe and effective.” and “for your own good.” But last year, each one of these people were safe in their homes.
In 2019, I worked at a packaged delivery service warehouse. I was a line worker, I had to pull packages, large, small, light, heavy, off the line and put them inside the trucks for the truck driver. Sometimes you have 3 trucks, and sometimes you get 6+ because people won’t show up for work for legitimate reasons or cause they don’t care. So, you can get backed up and everything will fall off the line, if you’re in the back. Which is impossible to stack up because the line will get heavy sometimes. So too much is coming down to the point where you have to stop the line or people from other lines will help you. If you’re in the front, lagging, you will stop the line up from the back. The people in the back will have to shove your packages up near you and you can get piled up, while they’re getting piled up. And most people will think “Oh that sucks” but if you never worked at any of these facilities, you won’t understand how stressful and horrible it is. And I will explain one of my horrible experience later.
When the lockdowns began, I was deemed as an essential worker. I have to go out and help send these packages off. Great. Now, I do love working at a warehouse and I love physical hard work. Unfortunately, this time it was stressful. When people got their relief funds and living off of unemployment, our lines got heavy with ridiculous amount of packages. Tell me why people would need a large rug? 10ft tall, and heavy to carry inside the truck. I had to drag in furniture, mattresses pools, trampolines, weights etc. I dropped a bed frame on my toe, luckily I didn’t break or shatter my toe. I also slipped and twisted my ankle on a box that was on the ground. It was the weekend and there was only 4 people there, I was in the front so I had boxes scattered on the ground.
And get this, the delivery trucks were filthy and I don’t mean your regular filthy, it’s your “I don’t want to walk in there” filthy. I had a truck that had piles of dirt, dust, sand, cat piss and shit with trash that the driver threw inside his truck. Sometimes they throw used mask and gloves down there. All in the corners of the truck. And I honestly think a variant of covid could come out of that, or something worse. Like if you kick up that dirt and sniff it in, you’d probably turn into a damn covid-delta-alpha-sigma zombie on crack. One of my co-workers had a truck, where a truck driver pissed in jugs and kept them inside his truck. Never took them out, never threw them out. Nothing.
So I called the head of HR, I told her how dirty a lot of these trucks were. Maybe have a separate team clean them out during off days. You know what she told me? “Oh, we can’t clean them, they're contracted out.” It says the companies name on the truck, this is a health hazard, it is disgusting, they SHOULD be cleaned. But no, she didn’t want to do it. She did not take any suggestions.
Here’s one of the worst things that happened to me there;
During the pandemics looting spree, I got a truck that got a lot of Nike products, and when I mean a lot…..Hehe….my truck got so backed up where I was buried in boxes, which almost reached the top of the delivery truck. No, I’m not exaggerating, I’m really not…….I popped my head up out of the the messy pile of boxes I was buried in. The mess reached to my 3rd truck(Which, mind you, my 3rd truck was almost as heavy as the 1st). The rest that was stacked up, stretched all the way to the back of the line where people had to work around. I had to swim my way out of the boxes and go grab my line manager, who they changed out for a new guy, (who I could not find at the time) . I told my old manager that it was an emergency. He saw what was happening, quickly ran and got a few people to help me clean up. Even with 3 guys, it still took awhile.
Another time, my 1st truck got a lot of office furniture, because an office was moving out. I had so many chairs, tables, etc. I was forced to put it all out in the two empty spaces next to me and I had to do this on top of the other two trucks. I was tired. I put two small packages on the ground in the 2nd truck, and the truck driver(yes the nasty one belongs to him) complained about it. He always complains and cries like a baby and all he does is drive. I pulled him aside and told him to look at all the shit I had to do. He was like “So”….So? So, I told his ass off. Called him a fucking cry baby, since he doesn't understand what adults had to do. I was tempted to buy him a pacifier and hand it to him as a gift. Too bad I didn’t get that chance. Anyway, I had to deal with a gross man baby who always complained about everything. So there's that.
Here’s where this job pissed me off and where I want these covid/vax retards to shut up. My car had died in the middle of the pandemic, it was around late June, early July of 2020. I had a person that picked me up because she was the only one near me. But she flaked on me and ignored my calls and then ignored me at work. She even ignored my boss when he texted her about picking me up. Nice. Nice. So now no ride. I couldn’t take Lyft/Uber because going and coming is 40 a day, which literally takes up my whole paycheck. So I’m only paying a taxi, when I could put that towards another car. I called HR about my problem, I asked her to give me about 2-weeks so I can get a car. I could get a loan and then find one. Why would it take two weeks? Because a lot of people were desperate for money and they will lie about their lemons. “Yeah, this is a great car! Nothing wrong with it at all!” And you buy it, get in it, and it breaks down in the middle of the road. Not going to deal with that. And people were selling their shit cars way over the normal set price from Kelly Blue Book.
The woman in HR argued with me, telling me to just quit. She would NOT give me two weeks, not even a week or half a week. It is in the middle of the pandemic and you’re forcing me to quit? I told my boss and he said he will talk to her. He did. Then he texted me back and said “yeah just quit.” To this day, I’m still pissed the fuck off about that. I could not get a car because I had no job, I couldn't even get unemployment. They coerced me to quit and would not stop bothering me to.(And I don’t want to hear anyone yacking to me about this. Shut up please, I was already stressed out.) I broke my back for the job during the pandemic, they didn’t even want to raise our pay, they hesitated and only raised it a dollar for one month, then said “the pandemic is over you’re going back to 13hr."
Now again, I’m not complaining about hard work. I love hard work. My problem is with these stupid moronic, privileged, pamper, diaper wearing little shits, that’s telling me , or any other essential worker, “Take the vax!” ,“you’re scared of it!” ,“You deserve to lose your job!!” When most of these assholes were sitting at home, farting up the house and blowing a hole in their couches while doing it, kicking up their dirty, crusty, smelly, ass feet on the table, eating greasy ass cheese puffs, gaining whale weight, while making more money than me, doing absolutely fucking nothing but ordering shit online all day. While I was making 13hr, I was at the front of it all, getting dirty ass boxes, especially FROM CHINA, in which my job provided no gloves, no masks until later, but they started out as flimsy ass bandannas. I was delivering their shit. The essential workers were delivering their shit. Which again, no gloves and we got dirty packages from China. They didn’t stop those from coming in the United States. Hell no, they didn’t.
So to those people who are scared of covid and the politicians, who tell me to get the shot, who tell me that “you may lose your job”, who’s too afraid of going outside for .5 seconds, yet were at home making bank doing nothing, screw off. Literally, screw off. I don’t care about losing a job because of the way most of them treat you. If they aren’t willing to help you in any way, then why should you care enough to lose it? None of you scaredy cats have any right to tell me or anyone else to be afraid of covid or take the shot.
