here's a great example of being able to provide custom solutions to unique "problems"

the "problem" was to find a way to use "wasted space" that was high in an entry without the need for any radical interior redesign . . . .

because this client spends most of their time indoors, they were less concerned about any external challenges because the solution would be hidden from view by lots of trees . . . .

as is the case with many of these sort of properties there is the ever present requirement to justify and confirm floor area usage, so the whole house was taken into account for this small office and stair addition . . . .

the floor area justification also required looking at the amount of home that is hidden in the ground . . . .

because the entry closet was not utilized that would be where the stair would begin . . . .

the extra volume above the entry would become a new office . . . .

and the new stair itself would be virtually unseen from those who visit the home . . . .

details . . . . details . . . .
