The EON Revolution!

It is estimated that the global games market (software) recorded revenue to the tune of 116 billion USD in 2017. Going by this estimate, one would think that the software developers are making it big in the industry.

Sadly, reverse is the case, as game developers spend more than 50% of their revenue in ads placement.

Most of this ads can not be said to be effective , as some are placed in places where the users might not be interested in sports.

Put differently, the ads are not placed in specific areas where sports enthusiastic can be captured.

There's the challenge of acquiring players. The cost of acquiring players is major turn off for small studios who are yet to find their footing in the sector.

Take for example, a situation where a developer has developed a nice game but lacks the wherewithal to acquire players and pay for ads placement and carry out the implementation of his idea to the later.

This can be a clog on the wheel of progress of the sector.

The implication is this:

Those who lack the financial strength to place ads and acquire players will be living the sector in their droves while the big players in the sector will stay.

This big players will start monopolizing the industry and centralizing management.....which will led to inefficiency in management processes and subsequent limiting the growth of the sector.

They start calling the shot and doing what pleases them.

The traditional payment model is not efficient and so making it difficult for developers to effectively manage their cash flows. In some cases, developers resort to employing the services of a third party to help for the handling of local sales.

When the third party fee and logistics fee are factored ........it spikes up the operating cost.

Developers payment are delayed up to 60 days in most cases.

This necessitated the need for a platforms that can proffer solution to this challenges.

Introducing EON,a decentralized digital game distribution platform where gamers can discover , share , play games and interact with other gamers.

EON would be built on the etheruem blockchain.

It would leverage off the blockchain technology these challenges.

EON would create a level playing ground for both the big players and small studio owners in the sector ......which will make for improved efficiency and supports growth.

It would bridge the gap between the local agents and the developers who depend on them to facilitate local sales. This will greatly reduce the operational cost.

EON would create effective and efficient payment systems using the blockchain technology.

Benefits of EON?

It would break the monopolistic power iof the big players in the sector.

Creation of effective payment system.

Help in reducing the operational cost of developers.

Bridging of the gap between the local agents and developers.

Easy access, as the players will be brought under one roof(platform) where they can easily interact aand exchange ideas.

Eon is just a perfect fit for the game (software) industry.
