HOW TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN TODAY’S POLITICAL CLIMATE. It’s no secret that today, politics is ALL OVER the place. As a country we are more divided than ever, with craziness on all sides of the spectrum. Whether conservative, liberal, or moderate, with everything going on, it is easy to get stressed out. I talk about this all the time because it is so, so true. Control what you can and forget what you can’t. Do everything you can to be successful and speak your mind, but don’t waste your time worrying about what will or what has happened, stay in the present and focus on what is in front of you. 2. THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL ANY TYPE OF WAY, GOOD OR BAD, HAPPY OR SAD, IS YOURSELF. YOU ARE YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY. Marcus also said, “Choose not to be harmed, and you won’t feel harmed. Don’t feel harmed, and you haven’t been.” People may not like what you say and do, and that is okay. It’s not your problem, it’s theirs. As long as you are not harming anyone, being hateful, or inciting violence, it is okay for your voice to be heard and to speak freely. Use discretion at work, obviously, but don’t tip toe around subjects that you are passionate about. Be direct and open. If people don’t like it, tough. Nowadays, it is more important than ever to go for what you want, speak your mind, and be as...
