Kindness. Compassion. Love. 'Sometimes my arrangements are very simple and come together as if by magic. In this arrangement, a horizontal line of white rocks was laid down on softly textured watercolour paper. Spanish Moss was draped loosely over the rocks and then a white rose 'bouquet' was placed in the centre. A circle of twelve duck feathers with soft velvety leaves radiated out from the centre. ~Ally. 'Spiral sea shells settle. Settle. Can you hear the hush of the ocean? Can you fathom a million million million? Stars smiling down upon you. Here and Now.' ~Ally. Last week the CEO and Co-Founder of MakersPlace, Dannie Chu was invited to speak on a panel at the SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas. He joined Jeanne Anderson (GM of Saatchi Art), Ysabel Lemay (Visual Artist), and Desi Gonzalez (Content Strategist for the City of Austin) to discuss how technology is transforming art collecting, and more specifically how blockchain technology is introducing a new generation to collecting and owning digital art. #digitalart #blockchaintechnology #makersplace #art

Have you ever. Wanted to take Time and Space. By the hand. And go wherever they lead you? ~Ally. Travelling Lady was one of my very early collages. Made in the pre-photoshop era. Handcut black and white photocopies of images from magazines, coloured with coloured pencil. This image illustrates the first additions of natural elements, like sand and seeds into my image making. Today is the first day of my Two weeks Holiday. I'm granting myself 2 whole weeks, starting today, to reconnect with my 'Creative Muse' and ask what is required of me. I have a direction I wish to explore ~ Several actually. Most of my work has come about through the process of asking to be guided. So for me, it's mainly a matter of continuing to do this. Although somehow it seems to be more imperative at the moment to actually take time away from my regular activities in order to do this. Interesting that I was guided to look at the achievements of Amanda Palmer once again today. It's incredibly difficult for an artist to make a reasonable income online ~ Which is still one of my major 'challenges' ~ However by setting up a MakerPlace Gallery and a store with the Homesteaders Co-op, I am finally preparing to ASK that my artwork be financially supported. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎ https://steemit.com/art/@allyinspirit/travellingladyarthandmadecollagehomesteadersco-opmakersplace-7z45iilmdd
