Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the piece I just completed today at the Beatles/Maharishi abandoned Ashram in Rishikesh, India! It took me 4 days to paint, mostly with latex paint and a couple of spray cans I smuggled in. It was a super awesome experience to be living in this spiritual town by the holy Ganga river, motorbike through cows n Sadhus, to then spend my whole days painting at this historical Ashram. Though painting with a big brush was less easy that using purely spray paint, it was a joy and my humble offering to this awesome country. It gave a softer pallet than usual, but I like it! I had to end the process of re-activating this Meditation Dome by getting inside it and grounding some of my own energy in there. Sooo grateful to have been allowed to do this and to Julian Vadas Art for setting this up through his Asaan Rishikesh internship. #beatlesashram #beatles #streetart #visionaryart #psychedelic Visit my website for upcoming events and workshops @ https://www.PositiveCreations.ca

So the art mission of this week in Rishikesh is to paint at the “Beatles Ashram”! This is a super trippy looking Meditation Center, where Maharishi Mahesh Yogi had the Beatles over in the late 60’s, and where they wrote the white album at. The place was eventually abandoned, so the jungle grew over it and now it’s a very cool ruin, that also serves as a wild tiger reserve. So it’s a street artist and classic rock buff’s dream come true! When I caught pics of dope pieces painted here by friends @milestoland (on Instagram) and @oliviajaneart(on Instagram) , I made sure to schedule this long awaited trip to India! I was stoked that the people who now caretake for this place have allowed me (with a bit of convincing) to paint one of the best spots on this land! It’s one of a handful of egg shaped meditation domes, on the rooftop of a crazy looking building. Getting to the top of it is tricky with a sketchy bamboo ladder, and I was only able to smuggle a few good spray cans, so I got to mainly use latex paint. But I am so excited to crush one of my trippy creatures on this unique surface! @themetanoist (on Instagram) also scored a great decaying wall on another tarnished building, so keep an eye on her too! Stooooked! #streetart #india #travelling #meditation #thebeatles Follow my stories on Instagram @ https://www.instagram.com/chris_dyer/

Throwback Thursday to this 2003 Ganesha watercolour. It was for my first commercial skate graphic ever, for my Peruvian friend @albertomontesk8 ‘s (on IG) brand. Happy to be cruising India where this rad elephant God-man is so beloved. As then, I still believe in a balance act between animals and humans, with respect and love on both sides. I know who I am and that I act from the intentions of love and creativity. May Ganesha remove the dark projections and energies any person who doesn’t know me might have upon me.
