'What do I know? I'm just a cop:' Dear Mr. Flaherty, I was stunned this morning when I heard the report about Karina Vetrano. I only hope that the judge accepted the hung jury and dismissed them after such a short deliberation because he was concerned they were going to find him not guilty. I can't believe that anyone would seriously believe the crime scene was contaminated - by her father who found her! I don't think crime scene preservation was his primary concern at that moment. And I am amazed that D.N.A. evidence that was all over the place was discounted by the jury. And a recorded confession, I guess, carries no weight any more. When I thought about her father finding his daughter dead and violated, and then this insult, and how that family will have a miserable holiday, I honestly welled up. And you know what? I have been in law enforcement 25 years. I shouldn't let stupid news stories bother me, but I worry about my kids, and their friends, and the future of our country. Keep Fighting the Good Fight,
