Tommorow is the 6 year anniversary of our first date. It's not that big of a deal but I do always bake my husband chocolate chip cookies to mark it. I had teased him about my having home baked cookies. He claimed to be some big cookie connoisseur and said if I made him some he'd judge them for free. And so it came that he was in my kitchen and the cookies had been cooking for quite awhile, he confessed he really didn't care too much for cookies.

Things have finally slowed down again for me! Got my bread raising (I didn't make any last week!!) And decided on meat pie for supper. Trying to track down my great grandmothers chocolate chip cookie recipe.
