The iconic sign for the Twin Drive-In Theatre in Independence, MO. Opening in 1965, the sign was inspired by the St. Louis Gateway Arch, which was completed the same year. The Twin Drive-In operated for nearly 60 years but closed in 2024. The iconic sign was taken down and preserved for display in Neon Alley, an outdoor tourist attraction in Kansas City. Operated by the LUMI Neon Museum, their mission is to rescue and preserve historic signs within the KC area.
