Fulfilling someone's request is a great way to develop a relationship. And we have to be helpful to strengthen existing contacts. But, when you are asked to promise something... When fulfilling even a small request, be diplomatic, say "I'll try/do my best, etc." You don't want to fall into the category of people who don't keep their promises, do you? Don't get caught up in that hook!
