Dalian, China - Table Leg Rock

On a tiny, out-of-the-way rocky beach in Dalian China, you will see this pretty cool geomorphic feature known as Table Leg rock. This sedimentary structure was caused by repeating cycles of marine transgression and regression. Marine transgressions happen when sea level rises relative to the land and the shoreline moves toward higher ground, resulting in floods.
