How a legit story gets "debunked" and sent down the memory hole forever.
Start with the "debunk" and work backwards:
Snopes swears that "Joe Biden does not own an island in the Caribbean". Therefore, the WHOLE story (and all the details) are null and void. Therefore, nobody should investigate anything or ask questions about any part of this story.
(Probably placed there as cover? "Sure some stuff happened, but it's not what you think!"). Now, when you search for Biden AND Virgin Islands you get this fake cover story and all the other 'debunk' links which refer to the actual story but never bring up the details.
So, it's true. Joe doesn't own an island. His brother owns some land on Water Island. But, Joe Biden has visited there a lot:
"Biden’s personal fondness for the Virgin Islands is well documented. He and his family have spent at least eight vacations in the territory in recent years, generally arriving after Christmas and staying up to or just after the new year. In 2008, ’09 and ’10 he spent the holiday week on Water Island, visiting nearby St. Thomas to attend church services. In 2011, ’12, ’13, ’16 and ’18, he vacationed on St. Croix...."

Economic Development Authority. Southern Trust Company, Inc. is a “DSB-Providing extensive DNA database & data mining,” according to the EDC. Former Virgin Islands first lady Cecile deJongh is listed as the company’s office manager.
There are a lot of weird connections to other businesses and people in the US Virgin Islands. If you follow the money you'll find a lot of friends of the Obamas and the Clintons.
"Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has quite a network in St. Thomas, VI, from a tax attorney setting up a microwave radio transmission for private comms to Little St. James Island, to owning 50% of a marina with billionaire Andrew Farkas, to a group of fascinating and well-connected ladies on the board of an elite private school that sits on 27-acres where Epstein’s attorney was one of the first students. Coincidentally, many of these individuals have direct ties to former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Global Initiative, in addition to corrupt former Governor of the Virgin Islands, John de Jongh and his wife Cecile."
The Crown Bay Marina in Sub Base (or "Subbase") Virgin Islands, used to be a military submarine base:
We found out that Jeffrey's temple had an underground submarine entrance and that Ghislaine Maxwell had a submarine operator's license and a foundation that promoted ocean exploration. But, her foundation seemed kind of sketchy:
“Tax documents for US organization the TerraMar Project consistently list Ghislaine Maxwell as the organization's President. TerraMar gave out no money in grants between 2012 and 2017 and that it was described as having unusually high accounting and legal fees for an organization of its size. Questions were also raised about what TerraMar entailed beyond the high profile appearance by Maxwell at the United Nations and on the TED stage. In 2017, an executive at a maritime firm made multiple requests for project funding to Terramar's development director Brian Yuratsis. The maritime executive who made the requests stated that “My impression was that TerraMar as a whole was pretty hollow”, and that “It seemed like Brian was the entire organization.””
There is still lots to investigate here. This was debunked quickly and sent down the memory hole. Once the hand has been waved, and the debunking done, nobody is allowed to ask any questions about anything even remotely related. Otherwise you're a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy nutjob. Follow the crowd! Do what you're told!
Keep investigating this story. Especially the connection to former governor John de Jongh and his wife Cecile de Jongh.
