Democratic Party = "National Socialism" (1936)

In 1936, Rose Wilder Lane could tell that the Democratic Party had veered away from constitutional republicanism and begun to embrace Fascism. At FDR’s first 1933 Cabinet meeting, every member received a copy of Giovanni Gentile’s book on Fascism and told to study it. Gentile described himself as “the philosopher of Fascism.” Moreover, a FDR Brain Trust adviser, Rexford Guy, came back from Fascist Italy with glowing reports of Mussolini’s economic policies. He called Fascism “the cleanest, neatest, most efficiently operating piece of social machinery.” Gentile argued that Fascism was “a consequence of its Marxian and Sorelian patrimony.” Killing History: https://amzn.to/2m5L74l Memes and articles: http://killinghistory.net/
