Well I chose to read this book because of Chapter 10 The Battle of the Little Big Horn ... This indeed is probably one of the more objective versions I’ve read - although I do admit most of my info comes from Native sources ... the key to this whole battle is “the point of the mission had been to get the Indians back on the reservation” ... and the American Army thought the best way to do this was via destroying their nomadic life style ... and accepting the new world order ... sound familiar ... Of course the “Indian problem” has never been solved and probably never will be solved due mainly because of that behemoth called the BIA ... Full blood Indians are still paying dearly for what early Americans saw as Savage behavior ... although the whites have chosen a permanent form of savagery... and a lethal form of savage deception ... sound familiar ...?? The amount of political game playing is appalling ... Last Stands: Why Men Fight When All Is Lost https://www.amazon.com/dp/1250217083/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_HNBK6KXEYJTWC5KMJVXX
