When minimum wage rates go up, there is more and more incentive to replace low skilled workers with technology. The technology doesn't get sick, don't have personal issues, don't quit and require retraining. Once the upfront cost is absorbed, it is much cheaper than an employee whose cost is more than just wages. The costs include wages, taxes (such as unemployment & workman's comp), training, paid leave, etc. Everyone needs to see the direction the world is going and needs to gain skills in high skill jobs, especially tech jobs that will be needed to implement and maintain all of the automated functionality in our lives. Likely in around 5 years (maybe a little more) most low skilled jobs are likely to go away. This is also going to harm young people. The low skilled starting jobs won't exist and the higher skilled jobs will pay more than an employer can afford to pay to "try someone out". It will be very hard for the youth to get a start in life. Your kids will need something about them to make them stand out. https://steadfastandloyal.com/news-for-you/mcdonalds-new-decision-leaves-people-scratching-their-heads/

There is so much evil being supported by the mega-corporations, I will give credit when one does something right. (credit does not apply support because there are frequently other issues I have). https://onenewsnow.com/culture/2021/06/09/another-corporation-sees-the-light

The level of spying going on in America today goes beyond that imagined by George Orwell in 1984. There are so many things spying on us in ways it is hard for the technically challenged to comprehend. Obviously your phone and Google are spying on you, but your Echo, Dot, and Alexa are spying on you. Your Ring door lock is spying on you. Your Apple Air tags are being used to spy on you. It is becoming almost impossible to stay out of the data collection net, especially in the cities. This article covers the basics of concern.
