A photo from today's eclipse. Typically my filter didn't arrive on time so I could only take photos through cloud cover. B-( Also... There is nothing like direct light to show up just how mucky your lens is! >.> #MyPhoto #PartialEclipse2021 #Photography #Astronomy #Sun

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jun/09/texas-republican-louie-gohmert-climate-change Can someone help me here... Was he being sarcastic and I COMPLETELY misread his body language and vocal style? Watching that video, he seemed to be very open and honest in the question. I cannot believe that someone who must at least be generally intelligent could ask a question so profoundly stupid unless it was in a facetious or sarcastic manner. He brings up points about recent solar activity, which is true, and the fact that the moon is moving away from the Earth, something that is also true. But misses the point that the moons orbit is NOT AT ALL influenced by us... And especially not by the people in the US Forestry service or the Bureau of Land Management. There has to be more to this. Maybe the video was edited or poorly misrepresented. Thee should have been a follow up question... But then even I would have been shocked into silence, too after this. #News #Opinion #ClimateChange #Science #Gohmert

https://www.sciencefocus.com/space/solar-eclipse-2021-uk/ Don't forget.... If you are going to be watching the partial eclipse today PLEASE be careful! Looking directly into the sun with the naked eye is REALLY dangerous. You should REALLY be super careful if using cameras or anything like that during the eclipse, these devices magnify the suns power, using them could lead to blindness in worse-case scenarios. Please, be careful! Enjoy it, but stay safe!

The best I can do is "Hoverfly". I took this with a shutter speed of 1/4000 because that is as fast as my poor camera will do! Even at that speed the wings were still blurring! #MyPhoto #Hoverfly #Insects #Wildlife #Nature
