Something that may be taken into consideration is looking and/or reading fictional works(that include books, movies, video games, etc) just to find ideas for our stories is pretty okay, but we can have our own spin on whatever ideas interest us.
Not only that, we should also do this just because it's makes us feel happy doing something meaningful.
