In Feng Shui there are four animals to represent our surroundings. The Black Turtle which is said to be the Mountain at the North. The Crimson Bird are the lower lands of the South (could also represent a watercourse). The Heaven-Blue Dragon of the East, are also the high lands to the left. And the White Tiger of the West which are the long low lands to the right. The ideal in Feng Shui is to find a home protected by the mountains behind you.
