1. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and establish my goings. 3. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. 4. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Psalm 40:1-4 馃檹馃徎 As Christ waited patiently on the Father, while He prayed in the garden, so must we. And we shall be heard. This picture of the pit, the miry clay, and the rock, at the bottom of the pit of sin, is the miry clay, there is water there, but none to drink, it is mixed with the clay, and becomes a bond, making it very difficult to escape, just as sin, holds the soul fast. But Christ has brought us up, paid our debt, and set our feet on a firm foundation, the Gospel message, and will be with us in our journey. Christ sacrifice, has put a new song in our heart, the the old nature, the old man, could never sing, the praise of salvation, and of Christ the King. Out of all that witness, the change in you, some will come, and reverence the Lord, and put their trust in Him. Blessed will be those, they shall not turn to idols, nor will they turn to doctrines, that oppose, the Person, office, blood, righteousness, sacrifice, and grace of Christ. To all these, shall the promise be sure, they shall be safe, and enjoy, eternal, happiness, in Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
