WHY THE CCP CONTROLS RARE EARTH ELEMENTS The Impact on National Security, Even Wind Turbines Rare earth elements (REEs) are among 17 minerals found globally with some zones having higher concentrations. The challenge is they typically don't occur in large deposits like gold vains, they're often found mixed with together and are difficult therefore expensive to separate making the job suitable for CCP slave labor mining operations in China and some of the world's poorest countries literally get paid poverty wages, many kids, as young as 5 need to work in these mines doing back-breaking hauling of ore rather than attending school. (Posted) There are four classes of commercial magnets used today, each has its own properties. They are: Alnico, Ceramic, Samarium Cobalt and the Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnet that's desirable for monster wind turbine generators. The neodymium magnet (NdFeB) was invented in 1984 by General Motors and Sumitomo Special Metals, Japan but they helped the entire rare earth supply chain to swiftly move to China allowing them a basic monopoly on these strategic materials. Since neodymium magnets are superior, generators in many of the newest monster wind turbines are using the CCP's international slave-labor mining operations that have little concern for the environment, worker safety or health to buy these specialized products as cheaply as possible. Companies like Molycorp, Rhodia, U.S and Japanese industries voluntarily transferred their rare earth mining, refining and metallurgical intellectual property to China (circa 1980s). Their goal was to lower finished material costs to boost profits and export the heavy-metal pollution nightmare away, to in this case China, a communist country with a horrible Human Rights and environmental track records but U.S had its twisted logic. Cozy-up to the Red Chinese, give them something to do other than being aggressive but that didn't work out too well. Quote: China’s industrial policy prioritized the support and development of its rare earth industry as a national economic and security initiative. It included three aims: control the REE supply chain, capture western intellectual property, and embed its materials into U.S. commercial and defense systems. Companies such as General Electric, Northrup Grumman and Boeing lack the capability to process REE oxides into usable components. Currently, almost all REEs mined outside of China are shipped there for processing into high-value metals, magnets and alloys. China’s national strategy provided small-business subsidies to vertically integrate the high-tech supply chain.... The 1980s saw a drastic reduction of REE mining in the U.S. China acquired technology from General Motors that allowed it to move from a low-end material supplier to a producer of magnets, alloys, and metals. In the process, it was able to eliminate competition and dominate world supply. The U.S. essentially ceded capability and control to China, through lack of a coherent defense or administration policy that would have recognized REEs as critical to the economy and national security. It wasn’t until (Trump in) 2019 that the U.S Department of Commerce outlined six key areas of a federal strategy for ensuring the domestic supply of critical materials. https://www.supplychainbrain.com/blogs/1-think-tank/post/31507-why-the-us-cant-break-chinas-monopoly-on-rare-earth-metals #china #windturbines #mining #politics #technology

PONCHO THE CAT PONDERS THE FUTURE Deciding On Stories Is The Story Practically everything in life revolves around politics, even the Right to go to the beach without a face mask. As much as political news stories impact us they shouldn't dominate this Channel, most of us can only handle so much "bad news." My critical environmental and tech stories are like 'shock absorbers' allowing us to ride-out the Biden-bumps more easily. You may have noticed most publications have a "Rest of the Story" segment attached, these are well researched and backed-up by a lifetime of practical engineering experience. The pieces break-out important facts that when combined offer the reader an in-depth look at the bits that the author ignored, edited-out or didn't understand, it's my privilege to research and fill-in these important gaps. Like the piece claiming SheerWind's under-sized wind turbine has a 600% advantage over standard wind turbines (HAWTs). That was a scam or horrible engineering, not sure but felt it was a good example to discuss especially as bird-killing wind power is growing exponentially. I'm certainly no "prophet" like Miss Thunberg but the F-35 is another hot-button failure that I've been predicting would be obsoleted. The USAF's 2022 "wish list" is in and zero F-35s are requested but the MSM won't talk about the 20-year-old 1,700,000,000,000 USD project still being incomplete - but I love kicking the tax-gouging Military Industrial Complex and their well-greased Congressional supporters in the teeth. It's in the Channel's "job description." Thank you for viewing and your support. Bob #Originalbadbob #news #opinion #politics #greenenergy

THE ARCHIMEDES NOISELESS WIND TURBINE We Looked At Loosers - Here's A Winner -- Video -- I'll abbreviate the customary introduction of how bad monster wind turbines are for our environment, the disruptive low-frequency harmonic noise pollution that harms humans and marine beasties or how they kill avian creatures, there's lots more to discuss so it's not going anywhere. I believe there's great potential in wind energy (not monster turbines) and most of us could benifit once the burden of initial expense is absorbed. Unfortunately in reality those of us who do purchase a significant percentage of bird-killing commercial wind energy also experience higher utility bills, like here in Spain. Prices have gone crazy, that craziness is headed towards the USA as Joe cuts U.S gas and oil exploration while allowing 'Big-Wind' to ruthlessly plant more monster turbines. It's been demonstrated a community approach works best with renewable energy. In the case of the archimedes wind turbine, I believe the design could be scaled-up in diameter and KW output but it's fine as is especially with the solar panels that are typically installed with it (See Video). Several can be grouped together producing silent energy and little "eye-sore," they actually look kind of cool, reminds me a little of a cross-section of the ancient Nautilus. Quote: With a wind speed of about 5m/s, the turbine is reportedly capable of generating 1,500 kilowatt-hours of energy, which accounts for roughly half of what a regular household usually consumes. As Richard Ruijtenbeek - an engineer from The Archimedes - explained, the company envisions a future where these turbines, combined with solar panels, can allow homes and business to be self-sufficient in terms of energy. https://www.herox.com/blog/501-noiseless-wind-turbines-unveiled #windenergy #greenenergy #climatechange #environment #technology

USAF BACKS AWAY FROM FAULTY F-35A Wants The Deadliest Fighter/Interceptor There's so much difference between the 4-missile F-35A and the 23-missile, 600 knot faster F-15 Eagle ll that we won't go there, the USAF isn't either. I've been predicting the 20-year-old F-35 would soon be obsolete and this is the first evidence vindicating that assertion. It seems like the only people in government that support the F-35 project are Congressional members who get greased by Lockheed lobbyists, everybody else has grabbed the bull by the tail and faced the F-35 situation - 1.6 trillion dollars later. Quote: The U.S. Air Force’s 4.2 billion dollar wish list for fiscal 2022 includes about 1.4 billion to buy 12 more F-15EX fighters from Boeing, helping to narrow a projected gap as the service divests its aging F-15C/D fleet..... But the biggest surprise was the conspicuous absence of additional F-35 Joint Strike Fighters. https://www.defensenews.com/congress/budget/2021/06/02/air-force-asks-for-more-f-15ex-jets-in-fy22-unfunded-wish-list-not-f-35s/ #f35 #airforce #f15ex #usaf #technology
