LOGGERHEAD SEA TURTLES

Loggerhead sea turtles, like all six types of sea turtles, are listed as threatened with extinction under the Endangered Species Act. Why they're in trouble: Fishing gear is the sea turtles' worst enemy, but loss of habitat and climate change also play a role in putting these species in jeopardy.
