I'm a little late to the party on this one, but there are a couple angles I haven't heard anyone mention.
A) whether Tim Pool likes it or not, deep exposition into Antifas activities in Portland is Andy Ngo's bread and butter. This is literally how he made a name for himself, nobody should be suprised about this, least of all Tim.
B) Andy and Tim are competitors, whether they want to admit it or not. By criticizing Andy for doing what he does to make a living, Tim pool is being an outright hypocrite. Back in the day, he used to report deep in some ugly places.
C) you can't observe a thing without changing it in some way. If Andy Ngo's version of that is putting himself in harms way, that's his choice. What Tim has always failed to understand is that you can't control what people think or do.
